Beyond becoming a member, if you are able to make a tax-deductible donation to Friends of Sapelo, it will help us to enhance the opportunities offered to teachers and students who participate in education and citizen science programs offered through the Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve (SINERR). Donations help us purchase equipment for the education lab, from field microscopes to aquariums and terrariums. Donations also help us to defer transportation costs for educators and students, enabling more Georgians to discover and understand the important role our marshes and barrier islands play in preserving the health and economic vitality of the Georgia coast.
